Hey there, I'm Jay Shah. I'm a software developer living in New York.

I started this blog to write about the things I learn building software, to share a bit of what I know, and to have something to look back on when I'm older. Writing forces me to slow down and figure out what I actually think, and every so often it turns out to be useful to someone else too.

If you're poking around, you'll mostly find posts on software engineering, the day-to-day craft of building things, and the processes and habits that make that work better. Lately a lot of that attention is on how all of it is changing in the AI era.

Hope you find something fun or helpful here!
